Cynthia Parker-Houghton is an artist, designer, quilter, costumer, and puppet maker. Her recent endeavors include a five puppeteer 14 foot tall Chicken, Public Art Pop-up at Brooks Memorial Library and illustrations for the Brattleboro Words Trail Map. She studied Sociology and Ceramic Art at Earlham College and received an MFA in sculpture from Northern Vermont University. She has worked on many public art murals as lead designer at Natalie Blake Studios.

I am struck by the miracle and mysteries of existence, simply to be conscious and to create through the organized matter of our physical bodies. I’m glad to be here playing with fabric, paint and marbles.
