MARIE FORMICHELLI WALKER

Marie Formichelli was born in Claremont NH. From the age of 6, she always had a "camera" in her hands. She learned many skills, including woodworking and painting, from both Parents, And took all the arts classes you could take in early learning. She entered into a preMed program and graduated from college after 5 years with a BS in Biology and Natural Science and a one year old beautiful girl. She went on to be a baker at a vegetarian restaurant, raise three children while creating various artworks and children's fantasy sets, all the while working for 9 years as a Luther and teaching violin in her violin teachers shop in the evenings .

After moving back to New Hampshire, Marie began her glass career in 1997 working at Simon Pearce glass factory in Windsor VT..obsessed with learning all types of glass she took and helped teach many classes at Corning Museum of Glass, and worked with many different artists from all over the world. In 2000, began working with Randi Solin at Solinglass and continued to for 16 years.

In 2014, she began to study metals, steel and silver , forging and welding for the last eight years, combining Glass and metal lamps.

Taking photos the whole time... Anytime she could.

"I am obsessed with freezing a moment in time ... A moment that is immediately lost forever in this Fluid Life.

Her photography is inspired by her love of Family, Nature (especially Mushrooms), Travel and Cooking.

I consider myself an Artist.
