SARAH GEROULD, Exploring the Depths of Nature

At the edge of abstraction, Sarah brings to her landscapes a strong sense of movement, a deep understanding of the natural world, and a lively affection for life. They find their form in refinements of line, rhythm, and light. She distills the beauty of landscapes into a kaleidoscope of color, light and line, imbuing images with joy and reverence for the natural world. Sarah works with oil and watercolor, palette knife, brush, rubber spatula, and paint shapers, often on highly texturized gesso surfaces.
