Harmony Collective Artist Gallery is operated as a collective enterprise to benefit all of its artist-members. Membership offers you gallery space to keep your artwork on view, and the opportunity to occasionally be the Featured Artist of the month. To keep the place open and running smoothly, we need members to be active participants in the business and in our artist community.
What does it mean to be a member of HARMONY COLLECTIVE: Artist Gallery?
HARMONY COLLECTIVE has space for 33 members. You are considered a 2 or 3-D artist.
Every member gets space to show their artwork in the gallery.
Members must be local to the area in order to fulfill their work requirement. (exceptions can be made)
A Display Committee changes the space layout each month. You may be asked to move after 4 months in the same space. This is to make sure that all members get a chance to be shown in different locations, and in the most prominent spaces.
We are looking for members who are excited about taking an active part in the collective and helping the gallery be a vital and active space in the creative community.
Obligations of Membership
Every member pays an initial, non-refundable fee of $200.00.
Members pay monthly rent of $60. That covers the overall rent for the gallery.
Each member works two 4-hour shifts amounting to 8 hours each month, alone in the gallery, taking care of the space and customers.
The gallery is insured against injury etc., but not for damage, loss or theft of artwork. Member Artists are responsible for any insurance they might want for their personal art work.
Artist members get the proceeds of any art sold, less 15% commission for the gallery’s operations.
All of the governing rules are laid out in the Guidelines which you will sign before becoming a member. Members get to vote twice yearly to weigh in on how the gallery is run.

If it seems that you may be a good match for our gallery and depending on the available space, you will be put on a waiting list and will be contacted at a later date for a jury meeting.
