Sarah Gerould’s new show, “Splish Splash”, carries the viewer into watery realms. It peers through the water’s surface, imagines the reflected world of boat hulls and revels in the shimmering of fishes fins.

Sarah Gerould has always been drawn to water. She is fascinated by the glimmer of light on its surface, the wavy distortion of underwater reeds, the hidden lives of fish and aquatic insects, and the quiet glide of small boats. In a search for greater understanding, she pursued Masters and PhD programs focused on aquatic subjects, and now, her professional days behind her,  she is free to pursue subjects that delight her eyes. Sarah works primarily in oils and mosaic, and her show also features watercolors and cut paper.
